FAQ
Why does reinvesting dividends grow wealth faster?
Reinvested dividends buy more shares, so the next payout is bigger, like a snowball. That is compounding. The more often dividends are paid and the longer you hold, the bigger the difference.
What dividend tax rate should I use?
It depends on your country, account type and the market you invest in. For example, foreign investors often have a withholding tax deducted. Check the rate that applies to you; this tool simply deducts it as a fixed percentage.
How do I estimate yield and price growth?
For yield, use the investment's average cash yield over the past few years. For price growth, a conservative 0 shows the effect of dividends alone; then try different numbers to compare.
Are the results accurate?
This tool uses a simplified model with fixed yield and growth rates, and ignores fees, exchange rates and price swings. Results are estimates only and are not investment advice.
