FAQ
How are the suggested schemes created?
They follow classic color theory rules by rotating the hue on the color wheel: complementary is 180°, analogous is 30° on each side, triadic is every 120°, and square is every 90°. Monochrome keeps the hue and varies lightness.
What is WCAG contrast?
WCAG is the international web accessibility guideline. Normal text needs at least 4.5:1 contrast with its background (AA), large text at least 3:1, and 7:1 reaches the highest AAA level.
Can I paste my brand colors?
Yes. The field next to each swatch accepts #RRGGBB, #RGB, rgb(), hsl() and CSS color names (like tomato), and converts them to HEX automatically.
Are my palettes saved?
Palettes are saved in this device's browser and will still be there next time. They are never uploaded to a server.
